Jack Perry is a drummer, recording artist, and music instructor working in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area. Graduating from UC Irvine with a major in jazz drum set studies, he studied closely with former Mile Davis band mate Kei Akagi (Miles Davis, Stanley Turrentine, Al Di Meola) and renowned drummer Jason Harnell (Maynard Ferguson, Alan Pasqua, Adam Benjamin). At the tail end of his time at UC Irvine Jack became a member of the ‘Soul Fixers,’ a rock/hip-hop infused band led by guitar prodigy Ray Goren. Later that year he toured the country with Ray and recorded for his 2017 EP entitled Manners which was produced by Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles).
After finishing college, Jack spent time collaborating and making his own music with his electronic band ‘THRILLHAUS’ which received critical acclaim by the Long Beach Independent (http://www.longbeachindependent.com/2016/07/thrillhaus-tilt-astral-plane-brass-lamp/ ) and other music reviews. He now co-writes for the electronic duo ‘LEAF LEAF’ where he and pianist Danny Andress strive to create complex electronic and jazz-infused soundscapes that appeal to the general listener. You can also find Jack performing with the newly formed jazz power trio WWPG with RJ Reyes and Jake Silverman (Buttonmasher). Other than his original projects, you can find him playing in cover bands and top 40 bands all over southern California!
